Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season!

I wanted to touch base and share some exciting updates regarding Mikes Bikes AZ. We are proud to report that we had an amazing first year in operation!

We kicked off 2024 with our inaugural Mikes Bikes Ride, Walk, or Roll Event, which had a great turnout! Everyone enjoyed goodie bags filled with stickers, pencils, bike lights, bike maintenance guides, and candies. The highlight of the event was the drawing for a Mikes Prize, a scooter and a helmet. It went to a little one who arrived as a walker and left as a scooter rider! It was such great fun for everyone involved!

Additionally, we participated in two major events at Tucson's local BMX tracks: Sports Park and Tucson BMX, We served popcorn, distributed bike goodies, and networked with the BMX community.

In September, we collaborated with the Parents of Murdered Children’s Southern AZ Chapter for their annual National Day of Remembrance. We set up our Mikes Bikes booth, handed out popcorn, had a "spin the wheel" game for small prizes, and at the end of the event, we drew a name to give away a Huffy 20" bicycle. A young girl, whose mother was murdered, received the bike, and her joy truly made the day fulfilling.

In November, we had the opportunity to collaborate with Old Pueblo Faithfuls for a Thanksgiving Food Drive. Together, we were able to provide Thanksgiving dinners to 26 families in need. It was an incredible feeling knowing that we could make a tangible difference in the lives of these families during the holiday season.

In December, we turned our attention to a family in North Carolina who had lost everything to Hurricane Helene. The family, consisting of a wife/mother and five children, had lost their home and husband/father. The children's request for new bikes was a poignant reminder of the importance of family bonding and shared experiences. We were honored to ship bikes, helmets, and bike maintenance/repair kits for the children, so they could "ride together as a family" as they wished.

As we reflect on the past year, Mikes Bikes had an incredible journey filled with both receiving and, most importantly, giving. Each interaction, every smile, and all the support we've experienced have enriched our lives and strengthened our community bonds.

We are immensely grateful for the moments shared with the community, our partners, and team members. Your trust and support have not only fueled our passion but also inspired us to give back in ways that truly matter.

Together, we've made a difference, and our hearts are truly full. Here's to celebrating the spirit of generosity and looking forward to another impactful year ahead!

Thank you for being a part of our journey.
